The City Safety Fair in Provo, usually held at the Provo Towne
Center Mall South parking lot annually, is a great place to come
and see all the resources available to the citizens of Provo
through its Fire Department.  We set up the ladders on our Fire
Trucks, Give tours of our ambulances as well as our Squad
Truck and many other pieces of equipment that we have.
We have a wonderful teaching aid that we call the "Learn Not to Burn Trailer."  This two story
adventure house is a great way to teach children about fire safety, hazards in the home, how to plan
and execute fire escape plans, and we can actually put smoke in the bedroom to activate a smoke
detector and help the children escape.  Come visit us in 2010 at the Next Provo Safety Fair!
Provo Fire is also proud of our CERT team which helps local citizens become more proactive about safety.
CERT stands for "Citizens Emergency Response Team."  This course is taught by members of our fire
department to educate citizens in how to deal with natural disasters and to become leaders in their
neighborhoods who can work hand in hand with public safety officers to take care of our city when needed.
Our CERT team is always at our Provo Safety Fair as well every year.  Stop by and learn more!
PROVO CITY SAFETY FAIR; OCTOBER 5TH, 2009
Provo Towne Center Mall, South Parking Lot
One of the most fun activities we have at the Safety Fair is giving kids, or other members of the
public, the opportunity to spray the Fire Hose!
Tours at the "Learn Not to Burn" trailer are usually given every 15 minutes!
Miss Provo also likes to make an
appearance to teach Firefighters a thing
or two.  Here, she is showing Jeff
Anderson how to fill SCBA bottles on the
Squad Truck.
