The Provo Firefighters Union, Local 593, which is a non-profit 501(c)(3), was officially established
and recognized by the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) on December 7th, 1938

On August 22nd, 1956 we also became affiliated with the American Federation of Labor and
Congress Industrial Organization (AFL-CIO).
